At the beginning of 2024, the journey of another venture project begins. Valentin Thalmann complains about how complex analog photography is in Switzerland: opening hours of specialist shops, lack of online advice and the absence of a reliable provider for online development make the passion more complicated than it should be. And at the same time, it provides the answer to the problem: The store that (again) makes analog photography easy should be called analogicum.
A wide, curated range of high-quality films is available in the online store. All with detailed descriptions, reviews and sample images. This already makes choosing the film easier than with many competitors. Before the film ends up in the shopping cart, the subsequent development can also be booked at the same time. In this case, the film will be delivered to the customer (no later than 3 working days after ordering), including a pre-stamped return envelope. When the film is full, it is sent in — just 2 working days later, the developed images end up in the customer's inbox as high-resolution, digital files.
Even before it is launched, the store is met with widespread enthusiasm in the analog photographer scene. It is due to go live in March 2024 — a parallel advertising campaign on digital channels, paired with physical events and guerrilla activities, is planned.
